As in 99 DEGREES! Okay, it wasn’t *really* 99 degrees outside, but sitting in the parking lot, baking in the sun, that’s certainly what it felt like (and registered at…). It’s a wonder little Doña Farfalle the Fiat 500 didn’t turn into some tiny little Italian crisp. Ahhhh, summer, finally . No more subzero days… thankfully, this little baby cools down with powerful AC in no time flat .
So it happened like this:
I had parked the little Fiat 500 in the parking lot of a Walgreens near my apartment. After entering the Walgreens, selecting the items I needed, and subsequently paying monies for them, I returned to the parking lot, and to Doña.
“Oh!” a little gasp escaped my mouth. I wish I had taken a picture. It just looked so hilarious. Little Doña Farfalle the Fiat 500 sitting (well, parked), next to an absolutely mammoth, I’m talking larger-than-life black pick-up truck that looked like it snacked on Fiats for pleasure.
Right. Flood in Duluth. Flood in the city built on a hill. Yeah. Good joke.
The cars are getting tinier! Behold: Doña Farfalle and her new neighbor, a festive red Mini Cooper.
Quite a refreshing change from the monstrous trucks that typically populate the lot. How adorable, seriously. Mini Coopers are pretty popular around the streets of Duluth… but I’ve yet to see another Fiat kicking it around the block
