Welcome back, friends and fellow passengers!
Are you ready for one of the most epic Fiat 500 Adventures yet?
This one is an actual adventure. More so, at least, than the drive back from the dealership, the quest for a windshield scraper, and my first time pumping gas…
This adventure actually warranted its own Mixed CD.

That’s right. Mixed CD.
This adventure also warranted its own collection of snack foods.

Uh-huh. Trail mix. Two kinds.
So without further adieu, a retelling of my first solo trip up the North Shore, presented in Technicolor cell phone pics.
- Starting Location: Home
- Ending Location: Home
Um. I guess I could include the point I drove to, at which I turned around and headed… yes, home.
- Midway Location: Beaver Bay, MN
That’s better.
- Total Mileage: 102
- Weather: Cold! White sky, sort of grey, not bright, not cloudy– then again, maybe the sky was white because the whole thing was a cloud? Either way, no sun.
- Beverage: Two coffees with a splash of vanilla capuchin from the Holiday gas station in Two Harbors. One on the way up to Beaver Bay, one on the way back. I should point out here, in the Beverage section, that while my “not-driving-any-further-time-to-turn-around” point was Beaver Bay, the main attraction on this trip was Two Harbors. Make sense? Cool. Good. Awesome. COFFEE! Did I mention I haven’t had coffee in about 4 months? Wee!
- Music: Mix CD! Here’s a taste, courtesy of Grooveshark.
And away I went.
The first place I stopped was Mcquade Small Craft Harbor because, why not?

Then, it was back on the road. On the road up to Two Harbors. I mean Beaver Bay. I mean… both!

A little while later, I was there. Here’s what I saw.

Stick around for my next adventure. I haven’t taken it yet, actually. Any suggestions?
