Road trip! Road trip! This past weekend was one for the books. Dinner reservations, a rock concert, and baseball game – all set in downtown Minneapolis. Twin Cities, here comes the Fiat! First thing was first, though – for the first time in about 3 weeks, it was time to gas up Doña.
Mmmmmhmm, a cool $30 later, we hit the road.
Dinner was at a place called Rare – a steakhouse, and get this, sushi joint, too. We were the only ones there! Got a swank seat right by the window, overlooking the city Mmm mmm mm mmm mmmmmmmmmmmm. Sadly, every time I tried to open the photo of my fabulous fishy dish, my Mac crashed. Therefore, no photos of said meal will be found here.
No photos from the rock concert either, sadly, for photography was not allowed. But it sure was fun! The band was Best Coast – check out a music video below. Nice tunes, especially for a nice sunny drive. (Hence… Best Coast was the soundtrack for most of the way down 35…)
Sunday, it was off to Target field for the big game! It was a perfect day for a ball game – sunny, blue skies, light breeze, the scent of hot dogs and nachos in the air… so lovely.
And the Twins won! What a wonderful culmination to such a beautiful weekend.
